James "Rocky" Russell Swisher II

James "Rocky" Russell Swisher, II, 62, of Monongah passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Grafton on March 8, 1956 a son of the late Russell James Swisher and Marjorie Ellan (Hebb) Swisher.
Rocky was a graduate of Grafton High School. He worked for the CSX Railroad for 23 years as a Trackman. His many interest included hunting, fishing, farming, and especially gardening and canning. James dearly loved his family, and enjoyed time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Wilson) Swisher; four sons, Jason David Swisher and his wife Melanie of Grafton, Joshua Michael Swisher and his fiancé Tabitha Freese of Grafton, Bradly Allen Swisher of Fairmont, and Christopher Terry Swisher of Fairmont; his daughter, Timber Lynn Swisher of Fairmont; and grandchildren, Taya, Lantz, Hunter, Auston, Tyler, Kylei and Kabella.
Also surviving are his brother, Andrew Swisher of Grafton; his sister Nancy Cline; and brother-in-law, Joseph Cline both of Preston County.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters, Jacqelin Smith and Charlotte Sinnett, and a brother-in-law Michael Smith.
The family will receive friends at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont, on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 10am to 3pm.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, his body will be cremated following the visitation.
