Derral Gilbert LeMasters, 74, of Fairmont passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Fairmont on October 28, 1943 a son of the late Gilbert LeMasters and Luetta (Cain) LeMasters.
Derral worked at Sharon Steel in Fairmont until the plant closed. He retired from the Rivesville Power Plant as a Control Room Supervisor.
He was a member of Sarrietta Kingdom Heirs Baptist Church. His interest included, hunting, fishing camping and gardening.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Sandra (Fimple) LeMasters; his son, Scott LeMasters of Fairmont; his daughter, Sheila LeMasters of Fairmont; a former Daughter-in-law, Beth Ann LeMasters; his grandchildren, Joseph C. Loyd, Monica Emmanuel and her husband Matt, Brent LeMasters, Derral Aaron LeMasters, Cannon LeMasters and two great grandchildren, Jaxson Emmanuel and Jazmin Emmanuel.
Also surviving are his brother, Edward LeMasters and his wife Karen of Chester, Virginia; his sister, Devona "Bonnie" Smallwood of Fairmont, a brother-in-law, Melvin Willey of Fairmont and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Derral was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Willey and a brother-in-law, George Smallwood.
Friends and family well be received at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street on Tuesday from 2pm to 8pm and on Wednesday 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will be at 1pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
